Time for another quick catch-up on some of my recent work, in particular writing blogs for business and again on the changing face of our high streets.
You will recall the first in my short series of blogs (here and here) for Rugby First - the Warwickshire market town's ‘not for profit’ Business Improvement District (BID) organisation - featured Jeans Flowers and their 30th anniversary of trading in Rugby town centre.
Moving on a few weeks later, my second assignment was on a type of small business you would not necessarily or traditionally tend to find and associate with being located in the heart of your average town centre.
I had the pleasure of visiting Shape It Up Pilates , a wonderful pilates studio based in Rugby’s Churchside Arcade which as I found seems an absolute world away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre outside.
It is perhaps a sign of the times and the changing face of our high streets that these type of small businesses are springing up and now a regular face in amongst the more traditional shopping outlets many of us are perhaps accustomed too. Once again I have to say it was an interesting and enjoyable exercise (if you will excuse the pun) to find out how Anne and her team started and how and why they now come to find themselves in Rugby town centre.
Anyway, without giving too much away, read the article here.
A postscript is that I do have a slight regret not being able to take up Anne’s kind offer of a free 20 minute assessment; at least yet.
Maybe that's one for the New Year.
Blog articles and blogging is just one of the many services I provide for a wide range of businesses and organisations.
