Dunster’s Yarn Market Hotel shortlisted in National Group Travel Awards

The Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster has been listed as a finalist in the 2018 National Group Travel Awards.

The hotel in the heart of the historic village in West Somerset and Exmoor is one of seven properties nominated in the “Best Individual Hotel for Groups in the UK” category.

If you have been an avid reader and follower of my blog, you will know that I have mentioned the Yarn Market Hotel on a number of occasions (see here), particularly as I have had the pleasure of staying there in recent years and also recommending the hotel to several of my clients from my other business Great Central Sports Tours - and booking them for stays there as a result.

Antony is a well-known figure on the Travel Trade Show circuit and has been found promoting the Yarn Market Hotel and the wider attractions of the area across England and Wales.

The message has been taken to London, Manchester, venues across southern England and Liverpool amongst other locations and on today [Tuesday 20th March] he will be heading to the NEC Birmingham to spend two days working at the British Tourism and Travel Show on Wednesday and Thursday.

The work and the mileage has clearly paid off. He will return to yet another full hotel which will be hosting a four day break for RailTrail holidays, who are visiting heritage railways in the South West including the second day on the West Somerset Railway’s Spring Steam Gala on Friday [23rd March].

Speaking about the announcement, Mr Brunt commented:-

“We are delighted to be nominated as a finalist in these awards. It’s a great reflection on the work that all of the team at the Hotel put in all year round to attract business and then to make sure that our guests, be they groups or individuals enjoy their stay and the delights of Dunster itself, West Somerset and the Exmoor National Park.”

And knowing what proprietor Antony Brunt and his team offer (they really do go above and beyond to make stays a wonderful experience), the nomination is richly deserved.

Best of luck on the night.

Incidentally, look out for my review and thoughts to the British Tourism and Travel Show in the coming days. I will be visiting tomorrow (Wednesday 21st March) for the first of the two day event, and whilst I have several appointments lined up with contacts old and current, I'm always happy to make time for more.

Why not drop me a line via email here or give me a call prior to or even at the Show on 07775 883102.

Or if you have access to the Show's Meeting Planner, why not schedule me in for a quick chat.
