6 great reasons why your business should be blogging

Are you aware that blogging is one of the most cost-effective and efficient marketing tools available for business owners?

Blogging has many potential benefits for your company or organisation and will help in several great ways, from boosting visibility of your name and brand to building and establishing credibility.

Here are six great reasons why your business or organisation should have an active blog. 

 

1. Increase traffic to your website and social media profiles.

Given that your blog will be on your website (or at least it should be), people have to visit it to read your posts. Subsequently they will also be more likely to explore other areas of your site too.

Your social media platforms should also be drawing in your content from your blog. Why? In order to drive traffic back to your site. As long as your social media posts include the correct website links to the blog article(s), along with attractive and creative visuals, then your followers will click through to your site. Simple.

2. Boost your visibility

Search engines love new and fresh content that is relevant to the people searching the web. Adding new posts to your website on a consistent schedule will boost your chances of being found through an internet search.

3. Access to an audience near and far

Blogging is a great way to potentially reach people outside of your local region on a national, and even international level.

4. Increase awareness and recognition of who you are

Publishing a blog post is quick and easy! This ability to share posts on multiple different channels increases your brand’s awareness in the public domain.

5. Become a ‘go-to’ expert in your field.

As the saying goes, knowledge is power. So if you have it, why not use it. Show your audience (and competitors for that matter) that you know what you are talking about. By doing so you are demonstrating that you command a vast amount of expertise in your industry.

6. Establish credibility.

Following on from the last point, by being recognised and established as someone who knows what they are talking about in their particular field, sharing that information with other industry leaders and collaborating with them further establishes your credibility and that of your business as a strong force in your field.
