The value of blogging for business

Following on from my previous article about why your business should be blogging, here is some further detail which will hopefully give you further food for thought.

The statistics below are from a recent report I came across. They illustrate just how valuable blogging can be for businesses and more importantly how your business and organisation can benefit from it.

Take a look at the following:.

  • Lead Generation

Companies see at least 67% more leads from blogging.

  • Increased Return On Investment

Businesses that blog on average see a 13% return on their investment.

  • Lower Cost

As a marketing tool, blogging costs 60% less than traditional outbound methods.

  • Back Linking

Businesses who blog receive 87% more links back to their website than those who don’t.

  • Higher Search Engine Results

Businesses who post regularly and consistently with keywords in mind are more likely to be on the first page of Google search results, and 75% of people do not go beyond the first page of results.

  • Improved Customer Acquisition

57% of businesses blogging at least once a month gain a new customer; that stat jumps to 82% when they blog daily.

  • Increased Time Spent Reading

People spend three times longer reading blog posts than reading emails.

  • Stronger Buying Influence:

61% of consumers state they have been influenced to purchase from a company based on a blog post.

  • Become A Trusted Source: Blogs are the fifth most trusted source of information for consumers.

 

These figures back up just how effective blogging can be. The ability to share the likes of news, photos and videos in one place from blogging has so many benefits, yet many businesses are still not taking advantage of the benefits and proven results.
